Your challenge will help mums like Michelle.

Michelle was travelling with her two children, Maeve (4) and Rowan (18-months) through remote Eulo, Quilpie and Welford National Park to explore various landscapes for her latest art project.

Michelle was no stranger to remote travel, but nothing could have prepared her for when Rowan got sick.

There were no hospitals close by.

”Rowan didn’t wake up that morning,” Michelle said.

She travelled to the closest medical centre and a RFDS Nurse Manager flew in to help.

The nurse checked Rowan’s heart rate and breathing. Rowan was put on an aircraft where a medical team could monitor and care for him until we got to the hospital.

Your support of the Fit to Fly Challenge will help mums like Michelle and babies like Rowan. Your support ensures every mum has access to life-saving health care, no matter where they live.
